for the love of sewing
I have always loved sewing I started when I was at school with the help of my Grandma, (who was a great seamstress) the teacher said we were going to make a long skirt. I didn't realise she meant underskirt, I was the only one in the class to go on and make a proper a long skirt which was my pride and joy.
I continued with my sewing making my own clothes adapting patterns to suit what I wanted to make. Family and friends got to hear about my dressmaking skills and regularly asked me to make items for them or to alter items for them.
I also started doing soft furnishings curtains cushions and blinds etc and again altering them if they were the wrong size.
When I had my daughter who is now grown up it was a dream come true, I was able to make the prettiest outfits in the world for her, my son didn't miss out as he had lots of waistcoats shorts tshirts, power ranger outfits too
I have also made both Bride and Bridesmaid outfits, my first were for my brothers wedding and one for a wedding on a beach
